God spoke to me about starting an online missionary training program in 2010, to bless those who are called to do missions work but cannot afford the training. As a former missionary in India for 5 years, where God blessed me with the opportunity to plant a church among Hindus, I understand first hand the challenges that face a missionary. I also recognize the need for appropriate training not just for the mind but more so the transformation of the heart and soul of the one preparing to serve cross-culturally. Furthermore I saw the need for a safe place for missionaries to continue to receive mentoring and on-going equipping as they serve in often very gospel-resistant environments. This is the heart behind the birth of Go Equip.

Despite attending training courses prior to deployment, being in the actual field posed so many challenges that were just theoretical to me before. I started having a heart for missions in my late 20’s. But back then, I was scared and intimidated with the thought of stepping out into the unfamiliar bringing the gospel to people who, I’m not even sure will be interested in whatever I have to say.
